2-Hour Tool Box Talks
(SST-304)

Toolbox Talks promote worksite safety and can help prevent incidents, injuries, and illnesses. These short, on-the-job meetings usually take place at the start of each work day and last about 10 to 15 minutes. Toolbox Talks focus on communicating safe worksite practices, hazards, safe and unsafe behaviors, regulations, and requirements. In New York City, Local Law 196 of 2017 (LL196) requires that workers and supervisors receive safety training if their site’s designate a construction supervisor, site safety coordinator, or site safety manager. Once fully phased-in, this law mandates that workers at certain worksites receive 40 hours of safety training and supervisors receive 62 hours of safety training.
