What is Confined Space Entry Training?

Confined Space Entry Training is a vital course designed to prepare workers and supervisors for safely entering, working in, and exiting confined spaces. In alignment with New York City’s rigorous safety standards, this course emphasizes the importance of understanding the characteristics of confined spaces, recognizing potential hazards, and employing proper safety procedures.
Once fully phased-in, this law mandates that workers at certain worksites receive 40 hours of safety training and supervisors receive 62 hours of safety training.

This DOB-approved SST course is designed for New York City construction workers seeking an SST Supervisor card under Local Law 196.
